Umling La pass bike trip is one the most adventurous journey in the Himalayas, Umling La Pass is a high mountain pass located in the Ladakh region of India. It is situated at an altitude of approximately 5,798 meters (19,000 feet) above sea level in the Himalayan Mountain range. The Umling La pass is traversed by a road between Chisumle and Demchok, also called the Umling La Road, which ascends to a great height of 5,798.251 m (19,024 ft 0.73 in) in the vicinity of the pass, making it the world’s highest motorable road. Day 1 –
Delhi to Manali Overnight Journey by Volvo

Upon arrival in New Delhi, we will provide you with the pickup point from where we will start our Bus Journey to Manali. Our crew member will help you to get on the bus. Get ready for the long overnight journey from Delhi to Manali. It’s a 530Kms distance which may take 13-15 hours to reach Manali.
Day 2 –
Arrival at Manali
On the 2nd day of the Umling La pass Bike Trip, you will reach Manali in the morning; our crew member will pick you up from the bus stop and drop you at the hotel. After lunch, we will start registration process, documentation, Bike & riding gears scrutiny. Evening we will have a briefing session followed by dinner.
Day 3 –
Manali to Sarchu

Today you will be riding for the first time on the Umling la pass Bike trip, soon after breakfast, we will saddle up for one of the most Adventurous Motorcycle Tours in the world. We will ride out of Manali town and reach Solang valley road at Dundhi village, it’s the starting point of “Atal Tunnel” which is the world’s longest high-altitude road tunnel at the height of 3000Mtrs above sea level, a total distance of the tunnel is about 9Kms, after that, we will reach Telling village which is the other side of the tunnel on Manali-Leh highway. Today we will cross Baralacha Pass before reaching Sarchu; Baralacha pass is at the height of 4890 Mtrs ASL. Sarchu is at an elevation of 14000ft and oxygen level always differs from low altitude areas.

Day 4 –
Sarchu to Leh

After breakfast, we will start our further journey towards Leh Ladakh, we will cross Gata Loops and reach Naki La mountain pass, to begin with. Most terrains are mixed with good and bad roads, so one needs to be extra careful while riding on these mountains. We will also be crossing Lachungla mountain pass and Tanglang La pass, the 2nd highest mountain pass in the World. By evening we will reach Leh.

Day 5 –
Leh to Nubra valley

Today we will start our journey towards Nubra valley, Nubra valley is the coldest desert situated at the height of 10000ft asl in the Himalayas. Before reaching we will cross Khardungla pass at the height of 5380Mtrs, which is the world’s highest motorable road. We will also visit Diskit gompa and Hunder sand dunes, where you can do a double hump camel safari. By evening we will reach the camp in Nubra valley.

Day 6 –
Nubra Valley to Turtuk & Back

After exploring the coldest desert, day 4 on Ladakh Motorcycle Tour continues towards Turtuk Village. Turtuk a tiny farming village nestled between snow-topped mountains in India’s far north-western region of Ladakh. Probably one of the beautiful villages in Nubra valley, surrounded by Apricots and barley farming is an important source of income. It is situated next to the Shyok River, Turtuk is one of the few places in India where one can witness Balti culture, It is the last major village where tourist activity is allowed before the Line of Control with Pakistan. By evening we will ride back to Nubra valley.

Day 7 –
Nubra valley to Pangong lake

After breakfast we will start our journey towards world famous Pangong lake at the height of 14000Ft asl, we will be taking Nubra – Shoyk valley route, the entire roads are very tricky with sudden twists and turns with multiple water crossings. We will reach Pangong lake by evening, the rest of the day you can spend time near the lake.

Day 8 –
Pangong Lake to Hanle

After breakfast, we will start riding towards Hanle. Hanle is a large historic village in the Indian union territory of Ladakh. It is the site of the 17th-century Hanle Monastery of the Drukpa Kagyu branch of Tibetan Buddhism. Hanle is located in the Hanle River valley on an old branch of the ancient Ladakh–Tibet trade route. Most of the roads will be off-road and one will enjoy the adventure in the Himalayas. By evening we will reach Hanle and stay in a Homestay in a dormitory.

Day 9 –
Hanle – Umling La Pas – Hanle

After early breakfast we will start our ride towards Umling La pass. Umling La Pass is located at a distance of 100 kilometres from Hanle; in the direction of the village of Demchok; in Changthang Valley of Ladakh region. Most of the roads for today will be completely off road with High altitude terrains. We will be riding for more than 2 hours in 15000 Ft Above sea level, we will reach Umling pass by noon, after spending some time there and we will ride back on the same route to reach Hanle. By evening we will reach Hanle and stay at a Homestay in a Dormitory.
Day 10 –
Hanle to Tsokar
Kilometers – 150
After exploring Hanle & Umling La pass, we will ride towards Tsokar.
Breakfast & Dinner included. Tsokar is located in the Changthang region of the Himalayas. Also called white lake due to the white salt content in the water deposits on its shore, it leaves visitors in awe of its beauty. The area surrounding the lake is rife with wildlife and flora, and it also makes for an important point for bird watchers, especially during migration season when several species come here to lay their eggs, including the black-necked cranes. By evening we will reach Tsokar and stay in a Homestay or Tents.

Day 11 –
Tsokar to Jispa

We will start our ride early today; we will be riding to Jispa. Jispa is a small hamlet situated in the Lahaul valley of Himachal. We will be riding on the Manali Leh highway again and crossing Sarchu to reach Jispa. It may take 10 hrs of riding. By evening we will reach Jispa & Stay in Tents.

Day 12 –
Jispa to Manali
Kilometers – 95
After breakfast, we will start our last day of the Umling La bike trip from Jispa towards Manali. We will reach Manali by 4 hrs via Atul Tunnel. Once we reach Manali we will drop off you at the Volvo Bus stand in Delhi. End of the Trip, no stay in Manali for today.
