SOUTHER INDIA MOTORCYCLE TOUR { kOCHI TO gOA}

Get ready for an exhilarating 15-day motorcycle journey through the heart of Southern India, covering 1,700 km of ever-changing landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and unforgettable riding experiences. This tour takes you from Kochi, the historic port city known for its colonial charm and bustling spice markets, to the tropical paradise of Goa, famous for its golden beaches and vibrant nightlife. 

As you ride through Alleppey’s enchanting backwaters, you’ll witness Kerala’s iconic houseboats and serene waterways before heading to Thekkady, home to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where elephants and tigers roam freely. The journey continues through the rolling tea plantations of Munnar, offering breathtaking vistas and crisp mountain air, before ascending to the misty hills of Ooty, the Queen of the Nilgiris, with its winding roads and colonial-era charm. 

From Ooty, you’ll descend towards Mysore, a city steeped in royal history and grandeur, before riding through the lush coffee estates of Chikmagalur, where endless plantations and scenic ghats await. The adventure takes a historical turn in Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site dotted with ancient temples and boulder  strewn landscapes, offering a surreal backdrop for riders. Next, you’ll traverse the dense forests of Dandeli, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, before making your way to the ultimate destination—Goa, where sun, sand, and the soothing waves of the Arabian Sea provide the perfect finale to your epic ride.

Day 1: Arrival At Kochi International Airport 

Upon arrival at Kochi international airport , we will pick you up and check in to the hotel. Rest of the you will be at leisure for getting acclimatisation and enough rest for the upcoming ride. Evening we will meet & greet with the group and briefing, followed by Dinner.

Day 2: Kochi to Alleppy – 60 Kms 

The ride from Fort Kochi to Alleppey is a picturesque 60 km journey that offers a perfect introduction to Kerala’s coastal beauty and tranquil backwaters. Starting from the historic lanes of Fort Kochi, riders will pass by colonial-era buildings, spice markets, and fishing villages, where the iconic Chinese fishing nets stand as silent witnesses to the region’s maritime past. 

The route takes you along scenic coastal roads, weaving through small villages, coconut groves, and stretches of pristine beaches. With the cool sea breeze accompanying you, the ride is both relaxing and visually stunning. As you approach Alleppey (Alappuzha), also known as the Venice of the East, the landscape transforms into a network of tranquil backwaters, lush paddy fields, and traditional Kerala houseboats floating on serene canals. Evening we will take a small journey on a boat across the backwaters of Kerala. Breakfast & Dinner included

Day 3: Alleppy to Thekkday – 150Kms 

The journey from Alleppey to Thekkady is an exhilarating 160 km ride that takes you from the tranquil backwaters of Kerala into the heart of its lush Western Ghats. As you leave the serene canals and paddy fields of Alleppey, the road gradually ascends into rolling hills, dense forests, and plantations. The ride offers plenty of winding roads, making it a thrilling experience for motorcycle enthusiasts. 

Upon reaching Thekkady, check in and relax before an enchanting cultural evening show. Experience Kerala’s traditional art forms, including a Kathakali dance performance, showcasing elaborate expressions and storytelling, or witness the thrilling Kalaripayattu martial arts, an ancient fighting style known for its high-energy moves and weapon techniques.

Day 4: Thekkday to Munnar – 100 Kms 

The ride from Thekkady to Munnar is a breathtaking journey through Kerala’s Western Ghats, offering a mix of smooth winding roads, dense forests, tea plantations, and stunning viewpoints. The route passes through vast stretches of tea estates, cardamom fields, and spice plantations, offering refreshing views. We will also visit a Spice plantations before we checkin to the hotel. Breakfast & Dinner included 

Day 5 : Munnar to Ooty – 240Kms 

IThe ride from Munnar to Ooty is an exhilarating journey through the Western Ghats, offering breathtaking landscapes, lush tea plantations, winding mountain roads, and dense forests. A scenic route through the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary and Pollachi’s countryside before climbing the Nilgiris via Coonoor. Known as the “Queen of the Hills,” Ooty welcomes you with its colonial charm, cool climate, and endless tea estates.

Day 6 : Explore Ooty ( Relax Day ) 

It will be a first rest day of the SOuthern India Motorcycle Tour, after breakfast we will headout to visit the Tea Plantations and chocalte factory. We will have lunch in between and come back to the hotel by early evening. Rest of the day you are free to explore this little charming Hill station.

Day 7 : OOty to Mysore – 150 Kms 

The ride from Ooty to Mysore is a thrilling journey through the scenic Nilgiri hills, lush forests, and wildlife sanctuaries. This route is perfect for motorcycle enthusiasts, offering a mix of hairpin bends, wildlife sightings, and smooth highways.Ride through Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (Tamil Nadu) and Bandipur National Park (Karnataka). Upon reaching Mysore, we will also visit the local farmers market in the early evening and then we will visit the world famous Mysore palace (Lighting is subject to availability, usually on Sundays & public holidays.)

Day 8 : Mysore to Chikkamagalur – 185 Kms 

IThe ride from Mysore to Chikmagalur via Halebidu is a scenic and culturally enriching journey, offering a mix of smooth highways, lush coffee plantations, and historic temple architecture. This route is perfect for riders who enjoy a blend of history, nature, and thrilling roads. Visit the Hoysaleswara Temple, a 12th-century architectural masterpiece with intricate stone carvings. By early evening we will reach Chikmagalur.

Day 9 : Explore the coffee Trails of Chikamgalur – 100 Kms (Optional) Chikmagalur, the coffee capital of India, is a paradise for motorcycle riders, offering stunning mountain roads, coffee plantation trails, wildlife reserves, and misty viewpoints. This ride combines thrilling twisties, serene landscapes, and offbeat trails, making it one of the most rewarding experiences in Karnataka. A scenic ride through dense forests and rolling hills, leading to Bhadra Tiger Reserve, one of Karnataka’s best wildlife sanctuaries. Head towards Baba Budangiri, a mountain range famous for its shola forests, misty roads, and historic shrines. Back to the hotel by early evening. Breakfast & Dinner included 

Day 10 : Chikmagalur to Hampi – 300 Kms 

The ride from Chikmagalur to Hampi takes you from the lush Western Ghats into the rugged Deccan Plateau, where history and adventure blend seamlessly. You’ll transition from misty coffee plantations to the rocky landscapes and ancient ruins of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Ride through the last stretches of coffee plantations and rolling hills before entering the Deccan plains.

Day 11 : Explore Hampi 

Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a dream destination for history lovers and adventurers. Once the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, Hampi is now a land of intricately carved temples, massive boulder landscapes, and surreal sunset viewpoints. we will visit Vijaya Vittala Group of Monuments & Lotus Mahal. Exploring the rich History and culture of Ancient India. Breakfast & Dinner included 

Day 12 : Hampi to Dandeli – 240Kms 

The ride from Hampi to Dandeli is a thrilling journey that takes you from the barren yet majestic landscapes of Hampito the dense forests and winding river trails of Dandeli. This route offers smooth highways, scenic countryside, and lush greenery, making it a perfect ride for adventure enthusiasts. The ride gets more exciting as you leave the highway and enter the lush forest roads of Kali Tiger Reserve

Day 13 : Dandeli to Goa – 150 Kms 

The ride from Dandeli to Goa is an exhilarating journey that takes you from dense forests and wildlife reserves to the pristine beaches and vibrant culture of Goa. This route offers a blend of twisty ghat roads and smooth coastal highways, making it a rider’s paradise. By afternoon we will reach our last destination Goa.

Day 14 : Explore Goa ( On Your Own) 

On the last day of the tour, take the time to explore Goa at your own pace. Whether you want to relax by the beach, visit historic forts, explore vibrant markets, or enjoy Goan cuisine, we’ve got some great recommendations for you in North Goa. We will meet again in the evening for a farewell dinner. Breakfast & Dinner included 

Day 15: Departure from Goa 

After breakfast , you will be dropped to the airport towards your onward journey. End of the Tour.
