Rajasthan Motorcycle Escapade

Rajasthan, literally known as "The Land of Kings or Maharajas" is a state located in the northern part of India. Rajasthan is known for its custom culture colors, majestic forts, and palaces, folk dances, and music, local festivals, local food, sand dunes, carved temples, beautiful Havelis. Exploring Rajasthan on Royal Enfield is the best thing to do, it gives a sense of freedom, royal touch and lets you explore the wild side of Rajasthan. 

This 12 days Motorcycle Tour in Rajasthan let you explore some of the prominent destinations in Rajasthan like Amber Palace & Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, Raniji Ki Baori in Bundi, City palace, Lake Pichola in Udaipur, Blue city of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer fort and Sand Dunes in Jaisalmer, Thar desert in Osian and tribal villages of  Kuldhara. 

Day 1 – 
Arrival at Jaipur

Upon arrival you will be picked up from Jaipur Airport and check into your hotel, you can relax for the rest of the day at the hotel. In the evening we will gather for a briefing session followed by dinner.

Day 2 – 
Jaipur to Bundi {Miles – 135}

On the first day of “Rajasthan Motorcycle Tour”, we will start our journey towards Bundi. Bundi is a magnificent town situated at 135 miles from Jaipur, Dotted with palaces and forts, the place has a fairy tale quality about it. Situated far from the crowds, it is the simple rural folk that lends Bundi its allure. After reaching Bundi we will explore “Raniji Ki baori”, also known as ‘Queen’s Stepwell’, is a famous stepwell built-in 1699 by Rani Nathavati Ji, the younger queen of the ruling king Rao Raja Anirudh Singh of Bundi. The Baori is a medieval marvel of construction and design. Baoris also worked as social assembly areas in those times since local townsfolk gathered here often.

Day 3 – 
Bundi to Udaipur
{Miles – 170}

After exploring Bundi, we will set our ride towards Udaipur. Udaipur is 170 miles from Bundi and we will ride through the marvels of Rajasthan, the small towns colorful villages give pleasure to ride Royal Enfields. After riding for about 7 hours we will be able to reach Udaipur by evening. 

Day 4 – 
Explore the “City of Lakes” Udaipur
{Miles – 30}

After breakfast, we will start to explore Udaipur town and nearby exciting locations. Udaipur is formally known as the city of lakes and Venice of East. Udaipur, the capital of the former princely state of Mewar is a beautiful city in Rajasthan. We will explore the famous Lake Palace, located in the middle of Lake Pichola is one of the most beautiful sights of Udaipur. It is also home to Jaisamand Lake, claimed to be the second-largest man-made sweet water lake in Asia. Also, we will visit Udaipur city palace, Jagadish temple, and Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandir.

Day 5 – 
Udaipur to Jodhpur
{Miles – 150}

After exploring the “Venice of East-Udaipur” we will start our journey towards “The Blue City-Jodhpur”. The name is clearly befitting as most of the architecture – forts, palaces, temples, Havelis and even houses are built in vivid shades of the blue, fortress of Mehrangarh has a landscape dominating a rocky ridge with the eight gates leading out of the fortress. This historic fort is one of the most famous in India and is packed with history and legends. Mehrangarh Fort still bears the imprints of cannonball attacks. We will spend some time exploring this magnificent fort after reaching Jodhpur. 

Day 6 – 
Jodhpur to Jaisalmer {
Miles – 175}

Today will be one of the longest days of Rajasthan Motorcycle Tour, we are going to ride towards Jaisalmer which is 175 miles from Jodhpur. Most of the roads will be highway today and in between will stop at some tribal villages. By evening we will reach Jaisalmer. 

Day 7 – 
Explore Jaisalmer
{Miles – 50}

Today we are going to explore the historical city Jaisalmer, Jaisalmer traces its inception to the 12th century. The city is dominated by the Jaisalmer Fort, also known as Sonar Qila (Golden Fort). Unlike most forts in India, the Jaisalmer Fort is a living fort. There are shops, hotels and age-old Havelis (homes) inside the fort area where families have lived for generations. We will visit the places like Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon Ki Haveli, Bada Bagh, and Ghost town Kuldhara. After exploring these places we will ride towards Sand dunes, where we are going to spend tonight in swiss tents and witness some cultural and art experiences during the stay. 

Day 8 – 
Jaisalmer to Osian
{Miles – 175}

Osian is an ancient town, It is an oasis in the Thar DesertOsian is famous as home to the cluster of ruined Hindu and Jain temples dating from the 8th to 12th centuries. The city was a major religious center of the kingdom of Marwar during the Gurjara Pratihara dynasty. Upon arriving at Osian we will visit Hindu and Jain temples nearby.

Day 9 – 
Osian to Pushkar
{Miles – 130}

Ninth day Motorcycle Tour of Rajasthan, we will ride towards Pushkar. Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India. Located to the northwest of Ajmer, Situated at a height of 510 meters, Pushkar is surrounded by hillocks on three sides. According to legends, Lord Brahma, believed to be the creator of the Universe dropped a lotus to the ground leading to the immediate creation of a lake. He then decided to name the place after the flower, and thus the name, Pushkar. After reaching Pushkar we will visit Pushkar lake, Bramhaji Temple and Varaha Temple.

Day 10 – 
Pushkar to Jaipur via Ajmer {
Miles – 110}

The last day of riding on Rajasthan Motorcycle Tour, we will start our journey towards Jaipur, but before that, we will explore Ajmer, Ajmer is 10 miles from Pushkar. The city of Ajmer gets its name from “Ajay Meru”, which can be roughly translated as “invincible hill”. We will visit some temples and forts in Ajmer before heading towards Jaipur. By evening we will reach Jaipur.

Day 11 – 
Explore Jaipur {
Miles – 50}

Today we will bid goodbye to our Royal Enfield’s and set to explore the Pink City Jaipur by Car and foot. Soon after breakfast, we will start our day exploring the ancient town. Jaipur holds the distinction of being the first planned city of India. Renowned globally for its colored gems, the capital city of Rajasthan combines the allure of its ancient history with all the advantages of a metropolis. We will visit Amber Palace, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Jal Mahal, and some interesting Museums as well. By evening we will back to the hotel for farewell dinner. 

Day 12 – 
Departure from Jaipur

Today we will bid goodbye to Jaipur and end our Rajasthan Motorcycle Tour on Royal Enfield. After breakfast, we will drop you to the airport with the hope of meeting again soon on the “Roads Less Travelled”, Bon Voyage.
